The London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police are investigating the cause of a fire at the site of a Bouygues residential complex under construction in East London on 4 June.

Proposals for new residential buildings above 30m to have a minimum of two staircases to improve building safety are being supported by the London Fire Brigade (LFB).
